As a designer passionate about travel, my vision of railway luxury is embodied in every detail of this timeless space. My creative approach drew from the heritage of legendary trains whilst firmly embracing modernity.
For me, true luxury lies in the ability to create a mobile sanctuary where every square centimetre contributes to a comprehensive sensory experience. The ceiling, which I designed as a succession of softly curved light boxes, became the signature element of this project, diffusing light that transforms the atmosphere throughout the day.
The choice of materials was crucial in my quest for balance between warmth and sophistication. The walnut veneer, which I wanted omnipresent, dialogues with touches of green marble that I integrated as mineral accents.
Modularity was at the heart of my concerns. I wanted each element - from the swivel chair to the generous banquette - to adapt to different moments of the day. The white voile curtains, which I chose for their lightness, create this subtle transition between the intimacy of the cabin and the perpetual spectacle of travel.
My approach to contemporary luxury is defined by this obsessive attention to detail, where nothing is left to chance. The colour palette, which I wanted warm and timeless, contributes to this sensation of soothing harmony.
This project illustrates my deep conviction that modern luxury must be a holistic experience, where functionality and aesthetics merge to create spaces that elevate the art of living. In this carriage, I wanted to capture the very essence of travel - that suspended moment where time stretches and every detail contributes to an unforgettable experience.
